188. A quick update on life as it stands on October 5th, 2009.
I've been out of the office a couple of days over teh last 3-4. It's been nice. I planned on writing about my youngest child last Thursday, but I ended up going to Birmingham to Huntsville and back to Florence. Travelling used to be so stressful. Now it is a stress relief. Nice.
I'm going to see David Sedaris live in Birmingham this Friday. I'm pretty excited about that. Plus I get to see Heath! Looks like I'll be crashing at his place for the night also. (He scored me a ticket to see Mr. Sedaris, which is reason #2479 that Heath is the coolest person in the world.)
I'm taking Friday off. I need a day off in a bad way. Hopefully I'll get a chance to sit and relax and think and write. I've only written one song this year of the 5 I promised myself I would write. I've got to get busy. Especially since we're kind of, sort of talking about recording some more.
The family and I are planning another trip to Gatlinburg in November. I'm pretty excited. I haven't been in almost 8 months. I'll be going back in February with the youth from Edgemont UMC.
Speaking of youth, I've been missing youth ministry lately. I get that once in a while. I'll get nostalgic and start looking at old pictures. Remembering the good times. Then I remember the not-so-good times and the nostalgia ends. Still, I miss it.
Alright, it's time to go call people and let them know who is and who is not getting paid this week. Half of that is fun, the other half, not so much.
