We're leaving St. James UMC (again, I guess). I've been a part of that church in some way for 31 years now. I'm sad, but it has to be. I can't attend a church where I don't respect the leadership. I have no idea what, if any, impact it will have (other than fewer wrong chords in the Lovesong service.) I plan to send an e-mail (or letter) to the pastor and some church leaders I know, love, and respect and let them know our decision and why we made it. After that I'll share more about the reasons here.

If anyone knows of a good church in Florence, let me know. Especially one that could use a VERY mediocre guitar player. We'll be looking after this Sunday. (We're going on vacation.)
